- I love Durango and have been here for 9 years.I have been teaching at Park Elementary for three years. Before I started with 5th grade this year, I was teaching 4th grade. I can't tell you how excited I am to see these students again and teach some new material to get them read for middle school. I love to get outside as much as I can. I run on the trails around Durango as often as I can. I can also be found riding these same trails on my mountain bike. I also love to rock climb. There are several places I go including Lemon Dam, East Animas and Indian Creek, outside of Moab. I also like to ride horses. I grew up working with horses on our family ranch in Wyoming. I would spend my summers there riding horses and galavanting across the sagebrush. I grew up in Denver, Washington Park to be exact, and I try to visit my mom and my sister on the holidays. Let's have a fabulous 5th grade year!
